General Questions/New to Joomla! 4.x • Custom fields not showing in JCE editor preview

I have an article with a table in it. On some of the rows I added custom fields like {field ID} and on other rows I have text. When I check the preview tab in the JCE editor I only see the text and not the fields.
If I preview the article on the front end the fields show but in the editor preview the rows are blank.
What could be the issue?
